  • 14 December 2018

As is now tradition, this year Ambassador Wilczek once again invited Polish supplementary school students to celebrate Mikołajki.

On December 9 the Ambassador’s Residence was filled with children from the Polish supplementary school who, along with parents and teachers, came to see Saint Nicholas. Before receiving presents they staged a holiday program and sang carols. Events also included traditional Polish dances.

Greeting participants, Ambassador Wilczek said he was happy that a few times a year he can host the younger guests. He thanked parents and teachers for their engagement and sacrifice and for their day-to-day commitment to maintaining their children’s contact with Polish culture. Ambassador Wilczek noted that Christmas celebrations include some of the most beautiful Polish traditions and encouraged children to participate in them.

Saint Nicholas gave children long-awaited presents and posed with them for pictures.
